Job Description
Tipico is looking for a Data Platform Engineer (m/f/x) to join our team. Grow with us, introduce us to new ideas and develop products that maximise the thrill of sports for our customers. WHICH SKILLS SHOULD YOU BRING TO THE PITCH:

  • Proficiency. 2+ years of playing time in roles like Site Reliability Engineer, Platform Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or Data Engineer—your foundation for a strong performance.
  • Data Mastery. A proven track record in implementing data-centric plays, such as data warehouses, operational data stores, and data integration projects. You understand the importance of data in shaping a winning strategy.
  • Skillset.
  • Python Proficiency. A must-have skill for orchestrating the team’s plays.
  • Groovy/Java Knowledge. A solid assist to have in your toolkit.
  • A Versatile Player. Experience with Linux, GIT, Source Version Control (SVC), CI/CD tools, and Networking. You’re the kind of player who can adapt to any position on the field.
  • Ownership of the Game. You don’t just play the game; you own it. Capable of leading developers, you ensure tasks are completed with precision, consistency, and an eye on the end goal—because every detail counts.
  • Team Captain Material. You influence your teammates, communicating technical concepts clearly and concisely to rally the team and keep everyone in sync.
  • A Trusted Mentor. You’re not just focused on scoring goals; you help others improve their game by mentoring and training team members, ensuring the squad grows stronger together.
