We’re seeking a Data Platform Engineer who will be responsible for designing, building, and supporting the enterprise data infrastructure. This role includes managing and maintaining on-premises SQL Server environments, leading migrations to cloud-based platforms, primarily Azure Synapse, and developing data pipelines that feed the cloud data lake and analytics platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Administer, configure, and maintain access control systems including badge issuance, user provisioning, door schedules, and alarm response workflows.
  • Support and maintain the video surveillance infrastructure, including IP cameras, network video recorders (NVRs), and storage solutions.
  • Manage and maintain physical alert systems such as panic buttons, duress alarms, and integrated response mechanisms.
  • Oversee integration between physical security platforms and IT systems (e.g., Active Directory, SSO, identity management).
  • Monitor system performance and ensure high availability, proper functioning, and compliance with retention and alert response policies.
  • Serve as primary technical liaison for vendors and contractors during security installations, upgrades, and service calls.
  • Maintain documentation for all systems, including schematics, configurations, access logs, and SOPs.
  • Work with the cybersecurity team to ensure physical security systems are properly segmented and secured on the network.
  • Provide training for staff and site administrators on proper use of badge systems, surveillance review, panic buttons, and emergency procedures.
  • Support investigations by retrieving access logs or video footage as directed and required.
  • Stay current on new technologies, firmware releases, and best practices in physical and emergency security systems.
  • Participate in on-call rotations or incident response procedures related to physical security infrastructure.
