Responsibilities Role Overview: What You’ll Be Doing Wheels Up is seeking a highly motivated college, graduate school, or law school student to join the Legal Team and help support the company’s global data privacy program. This will take place during the Summer of 2026 (dates and timeframe are TBD). This person will help drive the program’s maturity while having an opportunity for hands-on experience managing key program components. This role requires an intellectually curious, strategic thinker who has some knowledge of data privacy laws. This is an ideal internship for any college, graduate, or law school student interested in data privacy and cybersecurity. Internship dates are flexible to help support student learning. Your Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions) Assist with data mapping and drafting data flow diagrams Drive information governance recordkeeping including records of processing activities (RoPA) Lead privacy exercises and assessments, such as privacy impact analyses (PIA), data protection impact assessments (DPIA), and transfer impact analyses (TIA) Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy laws including but not limited to GDPR, CCPA, and other international, federal, and state regulations Work with IT and cyber security leaders to ensure compliance with industry frameworks, such as NIST, ISO, and other international frameworks Other duties as assigned Qualifications What You Bring to the Table: Education & Certification Requirements We’re looking for someone who has a unique mix of experience, skills, and passion for what we do: Enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or law school curriculum with an emphasis on law, privacy and information security Successful completion of classwork in the areas of data privacy law, data security, cyber law, risk management or similar Strong project management and organization skills Outstanding writing skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The Extras We Value (Preferred Requirements) While not mandatory, here are some additional things that would make you stand out: Students studying for CIPP certification highly desirable Advanced-level command of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint Familiarity with OneTrust What We Offer What We Offer: Salary Range & Benefits This is an unpaid internship.
