Description

OVERALL SUMMARY

At Close Brothers we look to recruit individuals from all different backgrounds and encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick every box. We celebrate diversity, promote inclusivity and are open to discuss flexible work options to help you balance your work and home life.
Join the Close Brothers Asset Finance & Leasing (CBAFL) team, where you will act as the subject matter expert for all things Data Protection across the division. You will support the Governance Manager in the delivery of CBAFL’s data protection program in accordance with Group policies and standards, as well as the division’s Governance & Control Framework.
This is a standalone role within the governance team where you will execute risk governance activities, and will promote a culture of awareness of data protection and drive consistent standards across CBAFL.
Our ideal team member will have experience in working in data protection, with strong knowledge of relevant legislation & regulations. We have preference for someone coming from within the financial services sector, preferably with lending products, but that’s not a necessity.

IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:

  • Knowledge of the UK / Ireland asset finance and leasing industry.
  • Knowledge of lease, hire purchase and loan documentation requirements for UK & Ireland.
  • Knowledge of the Consumer Credit Act and Consumer regulatory requirements and how this interacts with business processes.
  • Working knowledge of typical commercial and consumer lending policies.
We are an inclusive organisation and committed to ensuring our recruitment process is as accessible as possible to everyone. We will make adjustments for people who have a disability or long-term condition. If you need the job description or application form in an alternative format or would like to discuss the recruitment process with us, please email us at recruit.ssc@closebrothers.com or request a call back.
