ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Data Protection Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in managing Simplify’s Data Subject Rights Process. You’ll be responsible for responding to data subject access requests (DSARs), assisting with data protection audits, supporting incident investigations, and maintaining key data protection records and registers. This role requires a high level of accuracy, strong organisational skills, and a methodical approach.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and respond to Data Subject Individual Rights Requests (including DSARs, right to erasure, and restriction of processing) within legal timeframes.
  • Conduct initial investigations into potential data protection incidents, including root cause analysis and escalation to the Head of Data Protection where necessary.
  • Support the Data Protection Team in maintaining accurate records, such as the Record of Processing Activities and data subject rights logs.
  • Assist in the delivery of data protection audits and related follow-up actions.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and execution of Simplify’s Data Protection Training Plan.
  • Provide accurate and timely management information and reports as required.
  • Collaborate with operational departments and management teams to ensure compliance and raise awareness of data protection obligations.
