Our company provides Data Protection compliance and support services with: Integrity; Professionalism; and Expert Knowledge, to a range of Governmental and commercial clients (across Ireland). Due to our continuing growth, Data Protection Training and Auditing Services Ltd. is looking to recruit a Data Protection Officer to join our team. This post is specifically for an individual that has Data Protection training and experience.
Job type: Permanent, Full-time position (number of hours per week may be negotiable).
Pay: €41,600 - €52,000 per year depending on training and experience

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

· CDPO designation from Compliance institute (or equivalent) or IAPP Certifications (CIPM / CIPT / CIPP/E) or other related professional qualifications.

· Proven data protection experience.

  • Expert knowledge of Data Protection law
  • Have a recognised qualification not less than Level 6 on the National Vocational Qualifications Framework, or recognised equivalent, or a postgraduate degree not less than Level 9 on the National Vocational Qualifications Framework, or recognised equivalent
  • Have a valid work permit or visa
  • Capable and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working on his or her own initiative and can deliver to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, teamworking and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent multitasking and organisational skills.
Responsibilities
  • Draft and prepare, in a legal format, data protection related documentation, policies and correspondence.
  • Assist with matters relating to the compliance of Data Protection regimes for our clients.
  • Liaise with clients, other data protection officers and institutions
  • Prepare responses to clients that may arise from specific data protection related queries
  • Conduct initial and annual data protection assessments/reviews which includes identifying compliance gaps while developing implementation timelines and program priorities
  • Undertake DPIAs, LIAs and other risk assessments
  • Develop and maintain required data protection related documentation
