We are currently looking for a Data Protection & Risk Administrator to join our team on a 6-month fixed term contract. Focusing on the General Insurance business, the successful individual will report into the Data Protection Officer (DPO) and liaise with regulators and key stakeholders as required.
The role will involve monitoring and managing the DPO mailbox daily, advising the business in relation to data related queries and obligations and working with key internal stakeholders to ensure the Data Protection agenda is given consideration and that accountability for Data Protection is embedded in the business.
If you have experience within financial services or professional practice and some knowledge of the requirements of relevant Data Protection regulations and legislation then this could be the role for you!

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience within a financial institution or professional practice.
  • Some knowledge of the requirements of relevant Data Protection regulation and legislation and Industry codes of practice is not essential but would be an advantage.
  • Team player with a strong focus on communication and service delivery.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required to develop partnerships and relationships throughout the organisation; experience interfacing with the business to provide guidance with respect to privacy matters while accomplishing business objectives.
  • Must be a dedicated, self-motivated individual with an ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • High degree of professionalism, sound judgment and discretion.
Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing the distribution of our DP newsletters and maintaining our team share point site and engaging with Internal Comm’s & Learning & Development.
  • Assist with training programs to improve the knowledge of Data Protection in the business.
  • Collating MI for DPO & Group papers.
  • Maintain a level of understanding of the GDPR, other data protection law and how data privacy applies to processing activity within Aviva.
  • Ensure that the annual CBTs for Data Privacy and Business Protection are up to date in the context of the Data Protection regulatory environment.
