Community Health Action of Staten Island (CHASI) drives dramatic improvements in the health of New Yorkers by feeding people who are hungry, healing families broken apart by violence, and bridging the gaps between people and the compassionate health care they deserve. CHASI provides outreach, education, prevention, and direct support services for populations most affected by health disparities – people with low or no income, low-income people with chronic illnesses, people with criminal justice involvement, people who use drugs, domestic violence survivors, people of color, and the LGBTQ community.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Data and Quality Specialist plays a key role in ensuring smooth operation, data, and quality functions across CHASI’s Behavioral Health Department, specifically supporting the Next Step Resource & Recovery Center. This individual will coordinate internal data tracking and quality assurance efforts and assist in the organization and execution of events that align with the department’s mission to provide compassionate recovery-oriented services to Staten Island communities. The Specialist will also provide support for basic administrative functions of the programs, including, but not limited to, maintenance of program and office supplies and managing departmental purchasing.
The Data and Quality Specialist serves as a cross-functional liaison who strengthens communication and accountability between peer support services, administrative compliance, and contractual reporting.
