ABOUT YOU:

As a Data Quality Specialist, you will preferably have:

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Access, or another database or spreadsheet application and exposure to working with data
  • A general understanding of how bad quality data looks like and how bad quality data can negatively impact a product
  • A detail oriented approach to your work, being able to pick up on nuances and spot impactful patterns
  • Effective time management skills, knowledge on how to prioritise individual work, and the ability to be flexible in dealing with multiple daily tasks
  • Ability to foster a collaborative environment by actively participating in conversations, supporting your peers, proactively offering support when needed
  • Great English communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Secondary education (current University Students welcome)

Nice to haves:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients in a written manner, clearly articulating the relevant information
  • Experience in using software to document, track and monitor work done both at the individual level, as well as from a team perspective, e.g. Confluence, Jira
  • Experience in project environments where priorities can shift based on company objectives and needs
  • Familiarity with other foreign languages (besides English language)

Responsibilities

We are looking for a driven, talented Data Quality Specialist with expertise in data quality to help us build our SaaS-based anti-money laundering solutions, which help organisations fight financial crime! We are building cutting-edge solutions that help create a safer world and stop money from ending up in the hands of criminals. You will join the Data Quality Team and be involved in overseeing and maintaining the quality of the data that the company owns for the purpose of maximising its value and improving client outcomes. You will also be involved in driving data quality-related initiatives at the company level, working alongside stakeholders in Product and Technology.

As a Data Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for the delivery of key Data Quality components:

  • Data Validation: Monitor pipelines using tools like Elasticsearch to maintain seamless operations and data accuracy.
  • Data Remediation: Diagnose root causes of issues, deliver timely solutions, and document findings to enable long-term improvements.
  • Data Annotation: Curate high-quality datasets for Data Science teams, supporting model development and competitive innovation.
  • Data Culture: Champion data-driven decision-making and advocate best practices company-wide.
  • Data Innovation: Identify process efficiencies, leverage emerging technologies, and align workflows with industry standards.
