This position is responsible for ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across systems. The Data Quality Specialist will play a critical role in maintaining high data standards, supporting data quality initiatives inclusive of but not limited to data management, stewardship, inventory, and enabling effective decision-making through clean and trustworthy data.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or 3+ years in Data Quality Management or Data Architecture
  • Proficient in technical knowledge and skills to apply visualization and analytical toolset across a variety of datasets. Powerbi, SQL, MS Office and related technical skills required
  • Experience with data integration, automation, and data governance tools
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage and transform structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
  • Ability to communicate and ask questions to identify business needs

Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and maintaining data quality management processes.
  • Gather and analyze data to identify patterns, apply lessons learned and prioritize to solve issues.
  • Perform regular data quality assessments using tools such as SQL and Excel.
  • Ability to leverage PowerBi to assist with data quality issues and use PowerBi metrics to support KPI dashboards.
  • Detect and correct corrupt or inconsistent records, standardize data to eliminate redundancy and improve consistency.
  • Develop and maintain data dictionaries, metadata repositories, manage the full data lineage and data lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with data stewards and data owners.
  • Support ad-hoc data analysis and reporting requests.
  • Other duties as assigned
