The Data Remediation Officer plays a key role in supporting a Digital Transformation Program by ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance across key systems. This position focuses on cleansing, validating, and maintaining datasets to improve information quality, support informed decision-making, and enhance operational capability within the program. This is a 12 month contract role. What You’ll Do: Provide operational support to the Digital Transformation Program by assisting with the accurate processing, validation, and management of data. Complete data remediation activities in line with agreed priorities, maintaining a high standard of accuracy, attention to detail, and productivity. Identify and report data quality issues or anomalies to improve overall processes and ensure data integrity. Process data and requests within agreed timeframes, adhering to service delivery, privacy, and security standards. Work collaboratively with team members and partner agencies to support effective data flow and resolve issues related to data entry or system operations. Follow established service quality standards, standard operating procedures, and workplace safety policies. Contribute to the continuous improvement of data entry and validation procedures to promote consistency and efficiency across the team. What You’ll Bring: Demonstrated experience working in a high-volume operational setting involving information, data, or records processing (ideally within policing, justice, health, or similar sectors). Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure, managing competing demands in a fast-paced environment. Sound knowledge of privacy, security, and records management requirements within a public sector or policing context. Experience using standard operating procedures and undertaking quality checks in a data or case management environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and business areas. Qualifications in IT, data management, or a relevant field. Experience in government, public safety, or frontline services, and familiarity with data quality standards or reporting processes.
