JOB SUMMARY

Data Risk Management (DRM) provides second line oversight and challenge of data risk in support of TD’s Enterprise Data Management Strategy. At a high level, this role will be expected to:

  • Demonstrate data management and risk management expertise.
  • Effectively challenge the first line and identify, communicate, mitigate, report, and escalate data risk in alignment with requirements.
  • Provide independent opinion, commentary, and recommendations based on strategy and industry best practices.Demonstrate risk intelligence behaviors and outcomes while operating within the Bank’s risk appetite.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Undergraduate degree or technical certificate and/or5+ years relevant experience (e.g., 1b or 2a experience, data management, data governance, operational risk)

SKILL SETS

  • Must be organized, proactive, responsive
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills and well-developed listening and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to take complex analysis and summarize.
  • Proficient in Excel and power point
  • Proficient in issues management at TD (e.g., familiar with MERLIN/eGRC) a must; proficiency in Data Issue Governance (DIG) an asset
  • Superb time management skills
  • Familiar with Operational and Data Risk
