Join our Strategy & Analytics team as a Data Science Analyst and help uncover customer insights, build predictive models and deliver data-driven solutions that improve customer and commercial outcomes.  

Reporting to the Senior AI Initiatives Manager, you'll use advanced analytics, machine learning and experimentation to solve complex business challenges and turn data into actionable insights. This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity to work on impactful AI and analytics initiatives using modern cloud technologies. 

What You'll Be Doing 

• Develop predictive models to support customer retention, acquisition, cross-sell and engagement initiatives. 
• Analyse customer behaviour, digital interactions and product performance to identify actionable insights. 
• Design and execute experiments to test and optimise customer and business outcomes. 
• Build, optimise and deploy machine learning and statistical models using Python. 
• Leverage AWS services including SageMaker, EC2, S3 and Bedrock to run scalable analytics and experimentation workloads. 
• Optimise model performance through efficient coding, automation and cloud-based processing techniques. 
• Translate complex analytical findings into clear recommendations for business stakeholders. 
• Partner with teams across Marketing, Product, Portfolio, Customer Experience and Strategy to drive data-informed decision making. 
• Support the exploration of new data sources, AI capabilities and advanced analytics techniques. 

About You 

You'll be naturally curious, commercially minded and passionate about using data to solve real-world problems. You'll enjoy collaborating with stakeholders and turning complex analysis into meaningful outcomes. 

You'll bring: 

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related quantitative discipline. 
• 2-3+ years' experience in a Data Science, Advanced Analytics or similar role. 
• Strong hands-on experience building predictive and statistical models using Python. 
• Experience applying data-driven insights to support commercial and business outcomes. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience working with large and complex datasets. 
• The ability to communicate technical concepts and insights to a broad range of stakeholders. 
• Experience working within cloud-based analytics environments, ideally AWS. 
• Exposure to machine learning, experimentation and AI-driven analytics. 

We're seeking a data scientist with strong modelling expertise, commercial exposure, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
