Description
SAIC is seeking a Data Science Analyst to support the United States Transportation Command’s (USTRANSCOM) Logistics Sustainment Division. USTRANSCOM’s mission is to provide full-spectrum global mobility solutions and related enabling capabilities for the supporting customers’ requirements. In this roll, you will provide support for through process analysis and data analysis for cargo movements across the globe. The right applicant will be a self-motivated, technically diverse individual that thinks outside of the box and thrives on finding solutions to difficult problems.

Key Duties:

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain IT solutions in support of USTRANSCOM and the Department of Defense.
  • Translate application and end user system requirements into technical requirements.
  • Analyze and solve complex problems through applying creative, in-depth technical knowledge; making recommendations as needed.
  • Apply a systematic, engineering approach to the design, architecting, requirements elicitation, development, operation, and use of relational database designs.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Business Intelligence reports such as Cognos, Qlik View, Tableau, etc.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, or related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with back-end development and relational databases (Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, Databricks SQL, etc).
  • Strong skills in software or system architecture design.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge/experience in Data science platforms and tools
  • Experience with software development in one or more of the following languages: Python, Java, C#, Visual Basic
  • Knowledge of BI and visualization applications such as IBM Cognos Analytics, Microsoft Power BI or Tableau
  • Experience with Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) and data virtualization a plus
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense; Familiarity with Supply Chain or Logistics processes

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors
