Job Description As part of the ESA team you will have the following responsibilities: Support the requirement definition of data-driven solutions together with stakeholders, AI System Engineers and Digital Innovation engineers; Contribute to the gathering of data from various sources, cleaning it, and transforming it into a usable format ensuring data quality, consistency, and availability; Support exploratory data analysis to understand the data and identify patterns, trends, and anomalies gaining insights and forming hypotheses; Participate to the build of predictive models selecting appropriate algorithms, training models on historical data, and validating their performance; Support the implementation of machine learning algorithms automating decision-making processes including tasks such as image processing, anomaly detection, predictive maintenance; Contribute to the creation of visual representations of data, such as charts, graphs, and dashboards, to make the data more understandable for communicating insights to stakeholders; Contribute to technology development and work plans for ESA's technology programmes related to data science; Contribute to the capture of knowledge related to the development and use of information factories and support its dissemination. Qualifications You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience: Masters Degree in Data Science or Computer Science; At least 4 years hands-on experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) techniques, as well as data science methodologies. Familiarity with applying AI and data science approaches to areas such as engineering analysis, mission optimization, and decision support systems. Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage. Additional Information This job is located in Noordwijk, the Netherlands.
