We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Data Science Engineer II with a strong interest in AI/ML and advanced analytics to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing and applying data science techniques to solve complex customer problems. This role will involve hands-on experience in machine learning, statistical analysis, and data-driven decision-making to help shape the data strategy and drive insights from large, varied datasets.

QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Experience in data science methods, including statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization.
  • Experience identifying and resolving operational or data-related issues using documented procedures and prior case studies.
  • Experience making small-scale system and process improvements to enhance functionality and efficiency.
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. government issued security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:

  • Applied Machine Learning experience (regression, classification, supervised, and unsupervised learning) with a strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, calculus, probability, and statistics.
  • Experience in time-series data analysis, including cleansing and normalization, and experience with scalable Machine Learning (MapReduce, streaming).
  • Software development expertise in Python and JavaScript, with experience using Git or other version control systems.
  • Ability to drive projects independently and collaboratively, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to organizational goals.
  • Verbal and written communication skills
