SAIC is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst / Data Scientist Associate for a future program. Work will be performed on site in Bremerton, WA. The Data Scientist will support the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) Program. This is a unique opportunity for those passionate about advancing the U.S. Navy’s critical maintenance and operational capabilities. At the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, you will excel in a dynamic environment, supporting national security needs and contributing to advancements in digital networking technologies, disaster recovery operations, encryption, and comprehensive IT infrastructure (ITIL). Additionally, you'll play a key role in refining engineering solutions, enhancing cloud-based infrastructure services, and developing new tools and processes to further the US Navy's operational effectiveness. This position is contingent upon award, anticipated announcement in Fall 2025. Job Responsibilities: Transforms raw data into meaningful insights that drive strategic business decisions. Works with complex data from various sources is gathered, analyzed, and interpreted to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Uses advanced analytical tools and software are utilized to create detailed reports, dashboards, and visualizations that clearly convey key metrics and performance indicators. Works in close collaboration with stakeholders across departments is conducted to understand data needs, provide actionable recommendations, and support data-driven decision-making processes. Job Education & Skill Requirements: Bachelor's degree and at least two (2) years of professional related experience, or additional years of experience considered in lieu of degree. Knowledge in data analysis, data warehousing, and data visualization. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI required. Analytical skills and experience in statistical analysis, data modeling, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes necessary. Ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights. Excellent communication skills vital for presenting findings to stakeholders. Understanding of project management principles and methodologies. Experience with cloud computing platforms. Familiarity with DoD regulations and standards, particularly DoD Manual 8570/8140.
