Description:

We are recruiting a Data Scientist with applied machine learning experience to join our Customer Analytics team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team of data scientists working on customer targeting and segmentation to drive action across the business.

Reporting to the Customer Analytics Manager, you will work in a team of data scientists, analysts and data engineers. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Build production propensity and uplift models for targeted call centre and marketing optimisation.
  • Build segmentation models to drive customer understanding, next best actions, and improved customer outcomes.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines using data science and machine learning techniques to solve business problems.
  • Derive insights from analysis of large internal or external data sets and recommend potential business uses.
  • Work collaboratively within the team and share best practices.
  • Interact with stakeholders across the business to understand their needs and requirements.
  • Maintain technical documentation and data controls checks.
  • Maintain Flexibility within the role to undertake other duties as assigned by management and participate in any designated projects.

Your Profile

  • Masters in Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics or Computer Sciences.
  • 1+ year work experience in a Data Science/Data Analytics role.
  • Strong background in R or Python and traditional ML.
  • Strong statistical background and problem-solving skills with proficiency in programming using large datasets.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Expert understanding of GLMs and tree-based models, clustering techniques.
  • Proficient with use of Git and familiar with CI/CD best practices.
  • Previous experience in an insurance or financial services company is desired.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience building segmentation scores to drive company strategy.
  • Dealing with unstructured data
  • Working in an MLOPS or agile environment
  • Working with cloud service (Preferably Azure)
