About The Position: Imagene is seeking to hire a Bioinformatician to join our Science Team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking advancements in cancer research and diagnostics through the convergence of science, medicine and state-of-the-art technologies. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work with code (Python, Jupyter Notebooks) and biological data, combining computational rigor with scientific curiosity. Responsibilities Run, test, and adapt existing computational and AI pipelines for new biological datasets and projects. Collaborate closely with the AI and Data Science team to integrate pipeline updates, resolve technical issues and improve usability. Generate well-documented, reproducible Jupyter notebooks and comprehensive analytical reports summarizing methodologies, results, and biological interpretations. Guide decisions related to data analysis, interpretation, and presentation by integrating biological and clinical knowledge with computational insights, ensuring relevance for AI-based clinical related products. Design and execute bioinformatics analyses of high-throughput sequencing data, including NGS and RNA expression datasets, using state-of-the-art computational methods. Interpret complex biological data to generate clinically actionable insights, with a strong focus on oncology and translational research. Requirements 2+ years of relevant working experience. Proven experience in Python including experience with Jupyter, Pandas, NumPy and Pytorch. PhD in biomedical, bioinformatics or related fields - advantage Knowledge in computational genomics and bioinformatics. Scientific understanding of the oncology field, with a particular focus on cancer genetics and genomics. Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability and attention to details. Familiarity with version control (Git) and workflow management tools— advantage. Familiarity with clinical trial studies / biomarker studies in the biopharmaceutical/diagnostics industry — advantage.
Responsibilities
The Bioinformatician will run, test, and adapt computational and AI pipelines for biological datasets while collaborating with the AI and Data Science team.
