Data Scientist The Opportunity: As a Data Scientist on our team, you will design, build, and optimize advanced data pipelines, analytics capabilities, and AI‑ready datasets within the ADVANA enterprise data and analytics environment. The role combines deep data engineering skills with hands‑on data science expertise to ensure that the client and stakeholders can perform secure, scalable, and data‑driven decision‑making using ADVANA and AWS services. You will work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team to integrate installation‑level and enterprise data into ADVANA, develop robust ETL/ELT workflows, and operationalize analytic models and dashboards for mission users. The role includes aligning data with ADVANA governance, implementing AWS best practices, and enabling repeatable, automated analytics workflows across operations and related defense initiatives. You Have: 1+ years of experience in data engineering and data science supporting major defense or federal programs that rely on enterprise data platforms, such as ADVANA 1+ years of experience working with ADVANA data, tools, or projects, including integrating, transforming, or optimizing ADVANA‑hosted datasets for analysis and reporting 1+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and data lakes in AWS using services, such as AWS Glue, Lambda, and S3 1+ years of experience in Python, SQL, and PySpark for large‑scale data ingestion, transformation, validation, and feature engineering 1+ years of experience building and optimizing data pipelines and analytics workflow using a Spark-based platform in cloud environments, including integration with AWS data services and enterprise data platforms 1+ years of experience building visualization tools, such as Tableau and Qlik 1+ years of experience working within cross‑functional teams and collaborating with engineers, analysts, and operational leaders Secret clearance Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, or Data Analytics Nice If You Have: Experience supporting MCIPAC or other Pacific theater Marine Corps or joint installation programs Experience working with data originating from U.S. military installations Experience integrating AI/ML and advanced analytics into mission workflows, including model monitoring, performance optimization, and feedback loops Experience with Microsoft Power Platform Experience working with GIS data or special analysis tools Knowledge of installation‑level systems, reporting structures, and operational data Knowledge of policy, logistics, facilities, installation management, or readiness data domains relevant to Marine Corps and joint operations Knowledge of Palantir products, such as Maven, Foundry, Gotham, Apollo, and AIP Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
