DATA SCIENTIST (CLEARED TALENT COMMUNITY - VIRGINIA)

Locations: McLean-VA, Chantilly-VA, or Reston-VA
Clearance Required: TS/SCI with Polygraph
Requisition Type: Pipeline – this is not a current opening but rather a talent pipeline for Data Scientists of all levels with polygraph clearances interested in supporting the U.S. Intelligence Community. When new cleared Data Scientist positions become available, this talent community will be the first place our recruiters look to fill the roles. EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, mathematics, operations research, engineering, or computer science) with 1-2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Or, a Master’s Degree with 1+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Or, a PhD with 0+ years of relevant work experience.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in applied research, big data analytics, statistics, data science, computer science, operations research, machine learning, or related quantitative disciplines.

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL).
  • Proficiency with unsupervised, semi-supervised, and supervised learning algorithms and technologies.
  • Understanding of the data science lifecycle (e.g., CRISP-DM).
  • Some positions may desire experience in applying AI/ML techniques to solve cybersecurity challenges.
  • Some positions may desire experience applying data science methods to cybersecurity problems.
  • Some position may prefer a Security+ certification.
  • Capable of building models for deployment in real-time environments and supporting the cybersecurity mission space.
  • Strong background in developing predictive models and quantitative simulations.
  • Experience in consulting, including organizational and technology assessments.
