Context
The Data Scientist is responsible for partnering with IBP & Demand Planning teams on the embedding of Integrated Business Planning strategies and priorities such as Volumes Management, Forecast Accuracy and Bias as well as other Key Performance Indicators.
The Data Scientist supports the delivery of the Planning and Logistics CoE operating strategy to deliver short and long term business objectives, by embedding streamlined processes and sustained data management.
Ultimately the key role of the Data Analyst will be to provide analytical leadership and storytelling across these areas.
The core and overarching critical metrics relating to this role are successful implementation and maintenance of Demand Planning & IBP analytical requirements across the region. You will work across multiple areas of focus and engage wipartnersstakeholders regionally & globally. You will have huge freedom to succeed and have the opportunity to use analytical creativity to support delivery of end goals.
Creating presentations and storytelling to multiple partner groups sets this role apart from typical analyst or reporting roles. Creating presentations to drive decisions, solutions and engagement is part of the role.
About You
To be successful in role you will have a customer centric mind set internally and externally to Diageo.
You will have systems experience within supply chain optimization platforms (ERP / SAP APO / Advanced Excel & Power BI).
You will be passionate about decomplexifying problems and providing simple solutions
You will have baseline understanding of the end-to-end Supply Chain Planning processes; Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Distribution Requirements Planning, Inventory Planning, Conversion, Logistics, Procurement and Customer Service
You will have demonstrated proficiency in statistics and/or forecasting methodologies with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
