We are looking for a Data Scientist with strong expertise in building, validating, and deploying AI models for space applications. Why Us? Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and maintain statistical or AI/ML models for space operations. Design and implement scalable, cloud-based solutions for efficient satellite data processing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, astrodynamics engineers and operations team to integrate data, including images, processing pipelines into production systems. Conduct research to enhance optimization and estimation techniques relevant to astrodynamics applications. Prepare technical documentation, reports, and visualizations to communicate results to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Required Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech., Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields. Ph.D. candidates require no prior industry experience; Master’s candidates should have at least 1 year of industry experience; and B.E./B.Tech. candidates should have at least 3 years of industry experience. Proficiency in Python (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, PyTorch/TensorFlow) and SQL. Experience working with large datasets, data preprocessing, algorithm validation, and implementing CI/CD pipelines. Experience using version control systems (Git) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Strong foundation in statistics and data science related concepts. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualities: Proficiency in high-performance computing (HPC), specializing in performance optimization through GPU acceleration and parallel processing frameworks. Proven experience in optimization algorithms and operations research. Experience with OpenCV. General Requirements: Ability to take direction and work independently. Interpersonal skills to enable working in a diverse and dynamic team. Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule. Writing and delivering technical documents and briefings.
