Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated Data Science Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python programming and full-stack data capabilities. You will be involved in enhancing our trading analytics by drilling into new data sources, building APIs, and developing visualizations that aid traders in their daily workflow. Key Responsibilities: Optimize data pipelines and integrate new data sources. Responsible for data ingestion from source to analytics, including data transformations and normalization. Maintain existing APIs, and provide input on new APIs for efficient data management. Maintain, modify, and create data visualisations on both existing and new datasets to support analytics used by traders. Work closely with analysts and traders to understand their data needs and translate these requirements into functional projects. Maintain clear and well-documented code to support team understanding and project continuity. Qualifications Currently pursuing or having recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. Strong skills in Python, with excellent knowledge of Pandas and other data science frameworks. Experience working with version control (git) and CI/CD workflows. Knowledge in common database technologies and experience using SQL and working with relational databases. Experience with visualization / front-end tools such as Plotly Dash and python backends such as Flask. Must have personal projects or coursework that demonstrate experience in a complex codebase focusing on scraping and processing data, building APIs, and visualizing outcomes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable projects. Nice to Have: A foundational understanding of statistics. Knowledge related to Trading and/or Energy Markets.
