SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics).
  • Solid experience covering Data Science, Machine Learning, or advanced analytics role.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or R for statistical modelling and machine learning.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL for querying and managing large datasets.
  • Experience with ML libraries such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, or similar.
  • Solid foundation in statistical modelling, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
  • Ability to communicate technical findings clearly and effectively to non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities

We are looking for a hands-on Data Scientist to join our Digital & Energy Services (DES) team. In this role, you will be actively involved in building data products, performing analysis, and developing models that directly support business operations and performance across the division. This role will be Fixed term to Perm after the fixed term has ended.
This is a technical, delivery-focused position ideal for someone who enjoys solving practical problems with data, working directly with stakeholders, and getting involved in all stages of the data lifecycle—from collection and cleaning to analysis, modelling, and reporting.
