We’re looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join Fujitsu’s AI and optimization team to help solve real-world challenges facing society and businesses across different industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, utilities, retail, and financial services.
As a Data Scientist, you are passionate about solving problems that make a difference to people, business, and society. You will play a crucial role in identifying and developing innovative advanced analytics solutions & services to support business outcomes. In this position, you will be working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment to solve customer problems through data, using best-of-breed open source and proprietary technologies.
This position is within the Professional Services team where you will work alongside other data scientists, engineers, and software developers to build production-ready solutions. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a flexible manner depending on the maturity of the project.

  • Master’s or PhD Degree in a quantitative field such as engineering, operations research, computer science, or data science
  • Experience working with software development tools including git
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment, including participation in sprints, stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Proven ability to communicate complex concepts and insights verbally and in writing to colleagues and clients with varying degrees of technical knowledge
  • Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Organized, articulate, team player, open to collaborative workstyles and able to manage multiple deliverables for different projects at any given time
  • Familiarity and willingness to work in cross-cultural and geo-diverse teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in designing and building cloud-based data solutions using serverless and event-driven architectures
  • Experience with optimization solvers such as Gurobi, CPLEX, and Xpress
  • Experience in Data Science using machine learning frameworks and packages such as Scikit-learn, PyTorch, and Huggingface
  • Experience building generative AI solutions leveraging large language models such as Cohere
  • Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark
  • Experience with relational databases, SQL and data modeling
