Description Loch Harbour Group, Inc. is seeking a Data Scientist I to support data analysis, visualization, and operational decision-making activities for NIWC Pacific. The selected candidate will assist in analyzing financial, operational, and inventory data to identify trends, risks, and performance indicators that support mission-critical programs. This role will work with multiple government data platforms and analytics tools to develop dashboards, reports, and analytical products that support leadership insights, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making. Key responsibilities: Develop, cleanse, and analyze inventory data to identify trends, generate forecasts, and present this information using detailed dashboards and visualizations using multiple platforms to display NIWC Pacific’s risk factor in relation to material and asset management. Identify trends, risks, and performance drivers; generate forecasts; and translate findings into actionable insights for leadership decision-making Design, build, and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Microsoft Office to support audiences ranging from operational staff to executive leadership Integrate and analyze data from multiple government systems and data sources, including Navy ERP, Advana, Jupiter, Business Application Suite, and other authorized platforms Collaborate with stakeholders across NIWC Pacific and NAVWAR to gather, refine, and document data and visualization requirements Develop and maintain Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) diagrams to document and improve center-wide processes Perform detailed review and analysis of financial, business, strategy, and inventory transactions, including supporting documentation, outstanding orders, and cost accounting entries Conduct research and literature reviews on operations research, analytics, and data science best practices to inform analytical approaches and solution design Requirements Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree Experience Requirements No required professional experience Required Qualifications Active Secret Security Clearance (required at time of hire) Ability to work onsite in San Diego, CA Company Highlights: At LHG, we offer our employees a full comprehensive and competitive benefits package.
