REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of an MSc Degree in Electrical, Biomedical, or Electronic Engineering (or
  • equivalent). Biomedical Engineering/Bioengineering is preferred.
  • High proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing both English and technical English.
  • Have experience in data collection with medical devices, or a strong interest and desire to learn about them.
  • Familiarity with Python and/or MATLAB
  • Experience in clinical/research studies and monitoring experimental protocols is a plus.
  • Coursework and/or experience with machine learning is a plus.
  • Have resilience, a get-things-done attitude, and an innate desire to do great work.
  • Have a hands-on approach with mobile applications and electronic devices (in our

case medical).

Responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated, pragmatic, and goal-oriented Data Scientist Intern to join our team. This role is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to gain hands-on experience in data collection and data analysis of physiological and behavioral data collected with wearable devices, contributing to the foundational aspects of data science initiatives. You will work in close contact with our Data Science team, which develops all the digital biomarkers that will be embedded in our products bringing them from their initial research stage to a clinically validated stage.

As a Data Scientist intern, your responsibilities will include:

  • Support Data Science team members on data collection designs.
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating data collection activities across various projects.
  • Perform quality checks on collected data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Work closely with the team to troubleshoot and resolve data collection issues.
  • Document data collection processes, protocols, and best practices.
  • Refactor, clean, and organize new and/or existing datasets.
  • Process data to make them available for algorithm development.
  • Support Data Science team members on foundational aspects of algorithm development (e.g., exploratory data analysis, feature analysis).
