POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our Global Finance & Data Analytic team. In this key role, you will partner across all brands and business units to develop global reporting solutions, as well as targeted reporting for specific operational areas. You will play a critical part in delivering actionable insights that inform business strategy and decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Python or a transferable programming language and will use this expertise to build automated reporting pipelines, data analysis tools, and richly formatted Excel reports using the XlWings Python package. You will also contribute to web-based dashboard development.
This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with our Lead Data Scientist, proactively investigate large datasets, and present meaningful insights to senior leadership and operational teams.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in a Scientific, Mathematical, or related field.
• Familiarity with Linux CLI environments.
• Experience using Git and version control systems.
• Familiarity with the XlWings Python package.
• Experience building Python-based web dashboards.
• Exposure to e-commerce data and platforms.
• Comfort working with various data formats (CSV, JSON, XML, SQL).
• Experience integrating and exporting data through REST or SOAP APIs.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A continuous learning mindset with a passion for solving new and complex challenges.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance global and department-specific reports.
• Use Python to automate data analysis, reporting processes, and dashboards.
• Deliver richly formatted reports into Excel using the XlWings package and create web-based dashboard solutions.
• Ensure code and reporting solutions are version-controlled, well-documented, and follow industry best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, validate data, and deliver impactful insights.
• Proactively investigate datasets to uncover trends and patterns, providing actionable recommendations to the business.
• Work across diverse data sources including CSV, JSON, XML, SQL, and APIs (REST/SOAP).
