We are looking for an experienced, sharp-minded and detail-oriented Data Scientist to join our growing R&D department, and work with an amazing team towards combating retail shrink - that is, catching thieves! In this role you will develop and implement machine learning models and data-driven algorithms, create methodologies, and employ advanced data analysis techniques to define KPIs, measure Trigo’s performance, and uncover actionable insights that drive impactful research. Your work will focus on transforming vast amounts of data into meaningful predictions, building scalable ML solutions, and enabling tools that improve the effectiveness of our innovative systems. Requirements B.Sc in Engineering or Exact Sciences (M.Sc. is an advantage). At least 3 years of experience as a Data Scientist. Strong proficiency in Python and SQL (preferably with BigQuery and PostgreSQL dialects), with experience in ML frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn). Proven ability to handle complex datasets and perform feature engineering and data preprocessing. Hands-on experience developing machine learning models (e.g., classification, regression, clustering) and deploying them in production. Proven ability to summarize and visualize complex data, presenting insights in a clear, compelling manner. Impeccable attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in data analysis and reporting. A strong theoretical and practical foundation in statistics and data science methodologies. A mission-oriented critical thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities. A team player by nature with great communication skills and a can-do attitude.
