QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Requirements:
- Degree: Mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position. The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position.or
- Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in paragraph A above, plus additional education or appropriate experience.

Responsibilities:
- Leads the research, design, development, deployment of enterprise-wide analytics solutions utilizing data science techniques such as machine learning, natural language processing, robotics process automation, and artificial intelligence.
- Provides advice, guidance, and support to junior staff on advanced analytics, data access, data quality, data governance and storage, and related areas.
- Research, designs, and develops user-centric data visualization solutions that provide business insights to decision makers using modern tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau and other tools.
- Develops and maintain effective working relationships with OIG staff at OPM and other agencies to share information and learn the latest developments in analytical tools and techniques to efficiently assist the OIG with mission-related work.
- Planning, Organizing, and Presenting data science and data visualization techniques-based reports showcasing data-driven insights to organizational leadership and various program offices.
