  • Graduate-level degree with concentration in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, mathematics, economics, operations research, computer science or aligned discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience in the Data Science area in a business environment.
  • Skilled with EDA, feature engineering, model selection and assessment methodologies, as well as familiar with all stages of the data science project lifecycle.
  • Extensive knowledge in and applied experience with statistical and machine learning methods.
  • Experience in using Python programming language in data-related projects.
  • Experience with cloud computing environments - AWS preferred.
  • Highly developed logical, evidence-based problem solving and critical thinking skills.

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Practical experience and knowledge about time series analysis and modeling (for one of the projects within project portfolio supported by the team).
  • Insurance experience, focusing on the personal lines, commercial lines, underwriting or related business content.

Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

  • Develop predictive models in a timely manner to support development of personal lines and commercial lines insurance products accordingly to the schedule and with respect to regulations.Execute R&D tasks and provide stakeholders with deep insights that help to drive business decisions.

The Insurance Analytics team produces models, analyses and other data science solutions for use in the U.S. insurance market. We additionally provide timely and valuable insights to our clients as well as stay engaged and up-to-date in the regulatory insurance environment.
