Responsibilities

Bloomberg’s Legal & Compliance Department plays a key role in supporting our global businesses and operations. Our team tackles complex legal challenges with speed, collaboration, and creativity. We value inclusion and community impact — evident through our award-winning pro bono program.
The Data Security Legal team provides guidance on a wide range of topics including artificial intelligence, biometrics, cybersecurity and incident response, cloud services, data governance, third-party and vendor risk, and operational resilience. Our work supports Bloomberg’s broad portfolio — from financial analytics and media to software development and philanthropic initiatives.
Our team in APAC is hiring a Data Security Counsel. You will be responsible for knowing and applying global data security regulations across APAC to the Company’s activities, effectively articulating the perspectives and priorities of government authorities to stakeholders across a broad range of job functions and designing practical approaches to challenging legal questions resulting from evolving regulations and business innovation in the APAC region. You will closely coordinate with Government Relations, Communications, Risk and Compliance to support the implementation of controls and resolution of escalated issues.
