Description

Overview Tier One Technologies is looking for a Data Solutions Architect for our direct US Government client. This hybrid Contract-to-Hire position will be located in Rosslyn, VA. Must be a US Citizen. SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT. Responsibilities Serve as the primary technical architect for data warehousing projects to address business intelligence challenges. Oversee the overall design and governance of the enterprise data platform. Provide guidance on governance best practices and support long-term alignment with the organization’s collaboration goals. Manage QA functions, including developing unit, system, and integration test plans, and oversee their execution. Write technical documentation as well as end-user system documentation. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 8+ years of enterprise Data architecture experience. Demonstrate proficiency in database design, ETL (OWB/ODI), reporting, and analytics. Possess deep technical expertise as both a Solutions architect and AI architect. Previous consulting experience utilizing an Agile delivery methodology. 3+ years of Azure ETL processing experience. 3+ years of experience utilizing data warehousing methodologies and processes. Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling. Strong knowledge of Azure Databricks. Proficiency in creating PL/SQL packages. Full SDLC and Data Modeling experience. Strong conceptual, analytical, and decision-making skills. Ability to create both logical and physical data models. Ability to tune databases for maximum performance. Experience in Data Preparation - Data Profiling, Data Cleansing, and Data Auditing. Excellent communication skills. Must be a US Citizen. Ability to obtain a Moderate Background Investigation (MBI) clearance. Ability to pass drug screening, criminal history, and credit checks. Must have resided in the US for the last 5 years. Must not have traveled outside the US for a combined total of 6 months or more in the last 5 years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
