POSITION TITLE: DATA SOLUTIONS ENGINEER

We are looking to add a full-time Data Solutions Engineer to our team. This position is an excellent career opportunity for the right individual that desires to make an impact in a privately held, growing company. At MCC, we believe our success stems from each and every Team Member.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in data architecture, database management, and API development paired with hands-on experience in BI platforms like Power BI. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable, innovative data solutions that drive business success. The following are general responsibilities for the position:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Proven expertise in relational database design and data modeling.
· Strong proficiency in SQL, JSON semi-structured data, and Python for data manipulation and scripting.
· Hands-on experience with API management and integration for data access and system interoperability.
· Proficiency in ETL tools and data integration processes to ensure smooth data flows.
· Practical experience with Business Intelligence tools, particularly Power BI, for report and dashboard development.
· Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
· Strong work ethic and a desire to work and learn in the construction industry.
· Experience managing projects and/or implementing new programs.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to collaborate with all levels of leadership to identify needs and opportunities.
· Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office 365 and related program software.
· Proven organizational and time management abilities.
· Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· Preferred Certifications but not required: Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Certified Integration Professional (CIP), and/or Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP)
· Preferred: Experience in the construction industry.

· Design, maintain, and enhance database structures to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.

· Develop and oversee API integrations within McClone’s managed applications, ensuring seamless data access and system interoperability.
· Create and manage efficient data pipelines and transformation workflows to support business needs.
· Design and develop intuitive reports and interactive dashboards to empower stakeholders with actionable insights.
· Write optimized SQL queries, parse JSON data, and leverage other database technologies to extract meaningful information.
· Partner with the Technology Team and other McClone stakeholders to design and implement innovative company-wide solutions.
· Utilize VBA or Power Query to enhance data workflows and reporting capabilities in Excel.
· Perform other related duties as required.
