We are seeking a Data Steward who is passionate about data management and governance, with a keen interest in IT and Information Security. While a highly technical background is not necessary, you should possess a solid understanding of data processes and be eager to learn and adapt. Do you think there is a fit with us?   • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrable experience or interest in Data Management (DAMA DMBOK) and Data Governance.
  • Strong communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus), capable of articulating complex data scenarios to diverse audiences, including senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders, ensuring strategic alignment and promoting data management activities.
  • Takes ownership by being accountable for decisions and their outcomes, committed to achieving goals and resolving issues.
  • Advocate for ABN AMRO’s core values of courage, care, and collaboration, fostering a professional, improvement-oriented culture.
  • Passion for Technology, IT, and Information Security, without the need for a highly technical profile.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement data management policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Analysts, Scientists, and other Data Stewards to support their Use Cases, as well as to gather and align on requirements for new and existing Data Products.
  • Manage Data Quality Issues and Data Gaps, including performing root cause analyses on complex data sources and determining necessary follow-up actions
  • Review and assess Data Sharing Agreements (DSAs), ensuring compliance and facilitating new agreements.
  • Support the creation and periodic review of Use Cases, providing guidance and feedback to ensure alignment with data management protocols.
  • Register and maintain Golden Datasets, ensuring accurate metadata and data lineage to support BCBS239 compliance.
  • Build and align on Data Quality checks, translating business requirements into actionable data quality measures.
  • Develop and maintain Business Data Models
