This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Data Steward in the United States. The Data Steward will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of organizational data. This position involves monitoring data quality, analyzing large datasets, and implementing improvement initiatives to support business decision-making. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize data workflows, develop interactive dashboards, and maintain compliance with data governance standards. The role requires strong technical skills in SQL, data visualization tools, and relational databases, alongside a proactive approach to data stewardship. This position is fully remote within the U.S., offering a collaborative environment focused on enhancing operational efficiency and driving actionable insights. \n Accountabilities Monitor, measure, and analyze data quality to maintain accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Identify and resolve data inconsistencies, gaps, and anomalies according to business rules and quality standards. Develop and implement data validation processes to maintain data integrity. Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries for data extraction and verification. Analyze large datasets to detect trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Support data migration, transformation, and reconciliation initiatives. Create interactive dashboards and reports using AWS QuickSight, Tableau, or similar tools. Collaborate with internal teams to optimize data collection processes and workflows. Ensure compliance with data governance policies and industry standards (e.g., DMBOK). Contribute to best practices and continuous improvement in data stewardship across the organization. Requirements BA/BS degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field, or equivalent experience. 3–5 years of experience as a Data Steward, Data Analyst, or in data governance, preferably in a data-driven organization. Proficient in SQL for query writing, data extraction, and troubleshooting. Experience with AWS QuickSight, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools. Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data manipulation). Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, Progress, MySQL, or PostgreSQL. Knowledge of data governance frameworks, quality standards, and data lifecycle management. Skilled in data profiling, cleansing, and validation techniques. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented mindset. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work independently and collaboratively. Self-starter with proactive approach to addressing data stewardship challenges. Familiarity with the Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBOK) is a plus.
