REQUIREMENTS:

  • Relevant University Degree in Business, Organization Management, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Supply chain or Finance
  • Fluent in English
  • Minimum 5 years of business professional experience focusing on business/ data strategy in the domain of Supply chain or Finance
  • Familiarity with data science lifecycle projects, from the building phase to the deployment and monitoring stage
  • Proven experience in defining data use cases, KPI frameworks, and measurement approaches relating to Supply chain, Finance or similar
  • Experience with analytics storytelling, translating technical problems or solutions into business value
  • Knowledge of agile ways of working (Devops, Scrums, retrospectives, backlogs)
  • Nice to have technical skills: PBI, SQL, and MLOps
Responsibilities

PURPOSE:

The Data Strategist & Activation Manager defines the data-driven, multi-source analytics approach to develop insights that will power strategic recommendations and solutions that answer Finance functions challenges and business opportunities. The Data Strategist & Activation Manager develops a measurement strategy to define success metrics and tracking requirements, and they think through how data use cases can be designed to drive uplift in corporate functions processes, initiatives, and analytics.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing a data strategy that complements and helps to accelerate the JTI Finance GSC function transformation roadmap, focusing on actionable around data ingestion, data enrichment, and data activation.
You will work with the HQ GSC Functions teams to generate value by leveraging industry and market knowledge plus internal/external data to accelerate the transformation or to empower the execution. In addition to advanced analytic skills, this role is proficient at assessing and evaluating the data maturity level of the different business areas in GSC functions, designing and developing roadmaps to become a data-driven company, co-creating data use cases engaging business stakeholders. The Data Strategist & Activation Manager will work closely with his colleagues to sharpen insights and translate them into use cases to drive further uplift in Finance business vision and advocate for the use of data in meaningful ways.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Full responsibility for identifying business requirements and opportunities within Finance processes and initiatives, designing data-driven use cases, and defining metrics and KPIs to measure success and drive towards business goals of JTI GSC Finance department
  • End-to-end ownership and responsibility for developing Data Strategy playbooks, defining quick-win solutions, and creating data toolkits and frameworks to decentralize knowledge sharing and scale data activation
  • Development of data governance templates, outlining roles and responsibilities for MVPs, and an approach to deconstructing data use cases into prerequisites and execution paths, ensuring clarity for data scientists/engineers on how to implement them
  • Collaboration across HQ Supply chain and GSC Finance Teams and key markets whenever relevant to drive the data strategy across JTI
  • Close cooperation with Data Analysts and Data Scientists to ensure the strategy is correctly executed and identify opportunities for data use cases that can further drive an uplift in Finance processes, initiatives, and business value
  • Third-party suppliers management: defining priorities and deliverables for suppliers, and guiding and directing the supplier team to ensure quality deliverables and output
