Description

Key member of the Eversource Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Program Team, working with a variety of reporting requirements, process improvements, proposed program roadmap initiatives, and program reporting. This position will be responsible for analytical support towards Eversource achieving its AMI strategic goals. In addition to analytical support functions, this position would also support business case development, technology exploration, assisting with a variety of requirement gathering, data analysis and reporting.
This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office

QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

  • Demonstrated ability in analytics, problem solving, statistical and mathematical skills.
  • Proficient programming skills in one or more languages (Python, Spark, SQL).
  • Knowledge, experience and demonstrated ability in areas of reporting and analyses.
  • Experience in working across functional / organizational boundaries is desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills at all levels of an organization.
  • Skill in understanding and using data to measure and explain, extracting and analyzing data, working with IT systems, developing analytics, collaborating with others, communicating in a business setting with all levels of management.
  • Strong ability to design, build, analyze and interpret data models, ability to use standard business reporting software to build and modify reports and in using data from a data warehouse or other database.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite tools (Outlook, Teams, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with advanced Excel, visualization and reporting tools skills, process analysis tools use highly desirable.
  • Requires self-directed work ethic and abilities, capable of taking the lead on action items or initiatives while also collaborating with others within and outside of the department.
  • Familiarity with concepts related to emerging utility technologies (e.g. distributed energy, grid modernization, storage, etc.) is highly desirable.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance or related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • MBA preferred.

Experience:

  • Three (3) plus years related experience.
  • Experience in data handling and business process/performance analysis, strongly preferred.
  • Experience in utility industry preferred.

  • Designs, builds, and maintains AMI processes, reports, and dashboards.
  • Data extraction, Automation, and logic designs.
  • Experience with reporting, analysis, and visualization tools.
  • Assists in developing streamlined approaches to minimize manual processes and duplicative work.
  • Collaborates with external and internal resources to gather and analyze data or information.
  • Develops/gathers requirements for AMI Program requests.

  • Documents and coordinates with other departments to integrate new and existing processes seamlessly.
  • Performs root cause analysis where required.
  • Designs and performs ad hoc querying and reporting as needed to support the AMI Program Team.
  • Responsible for storm restoration and emergency assignments.
