Who You Are:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Warehouse Engineer with over 6 years of proven expertise in designing and implementing cutting-edge data solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of data engineering principles and a proficiency in leveraging advanced technologies such as Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, and Data Factory. The ideal candidate will excel in optimizing data pipelines, ensuring data quality and governance, and driving innovation in data architecture.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience with Azure Data Lake, SQL Server, and Databricks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of solving complex data engineering challenges.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications related to data analytics or business intelligence are highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of robust data pipelines using Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, and Data Factory to ingest, store, and process data from diverse sources.
  • Implement and maintain advanced data quality and governance processes, leveraging technologies like Databricks Delta Lake and Synapse SQL to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Drive the migration of existing data marts from on-premises SQL Server to Data Lake, optimizing data warehouse performance and scalability through Synapse SQL and Synapse Spark.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from various sources, including SQL Server, CSV files, Dynamics 365 FO data, utilizing Databricks connectors and Data Factory.
  • Perform comprehensive data cleansing, transformation, and enrichment using Databricks Spark and Databricks SQL, ensuring high data quality and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards and reports using Power BI and SSRS to monitor and communicate business performance across various departments including finance, operations, merchandise, and marketing.
