Job Description Administration and monitoring of MS SQL-based database services deployed in distributed environments Providing 2nd line support to database management Updating technical documentation and operating procedures Troubleshooting and resolving database issues across complex, large-scale systems Deploying databases and managing Always-On availability deployments Extracting, transforming, and loading data using MS SQL scripting, ETL tools, and cloud services Planning capacity and availability of databases, tuning and optimizing performance Implementing changes according to ICT change management procedures Database incident management and escalation handling Monitoring database health using tools such as SQL Profiler, Execution Plans, Dynamic Management Views (DMVs), and DBPlus Performance Monitor Reporting on activities and operational metrics Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, plus 5 years of relevant experience Minimum English language skills (CEFR): B2 Active EU Security Clearance Experienced in administration of complex MS SQL-based systems deployed in distributed environments Expert-level capability in optimizing, tuning, and planning capacity of databases Mastery of recovery models (Full, Simple, Bulk-Logged) and disaster recovery methodologies Hands-on experience creating and managing Always On deployments Expertise in using SQL Profiler, Execution Plans, and Dynamic Management Views (DMVs) to diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks Experience in scripting MS SQL databases, data transformations, and ETL tools including cloud services Experience in design, implementation, and maintenance of Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Business Intelligence on-premises tools and services Hands-on experience with monitoring systems, administering virtual infrastructure, and working with Active Directory tiering model Experience working in restricted environments Experience with ticketing systems and ITIL-based change management, configuration management, and release management processes Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technologies, technical and business concepts to multiple audiences At least 1 certification among: Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate (DP-300) or equivalent Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate (DP-700) or equivalent
