WHAT YOU WILL DO -

• Design, configure and deploy MSSQL Servers and databases (versionsSQL2016/17/19/2022) on premises and public clouds
• Assess and develop long-term strategic goals for production and non-production database environments with stakeholders and department managers
• Conduct research and make recommendations on database products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development
• Collaborate with application development teams to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies/procedures
• Participate in IT development projects through data modeling, developing logical and physical database designs
• Document and review database design to ensure optimized data environments
• Participate in the Change Management activities and assist in code deployments and data conversions
• Establish appropriate end-user database access control levels
• Performance and general health / capacity Database Systems monitoring and daily database administration operations and tasks
• Capacity planning, tuning and load balancing of Database servers
• Routine Database maintenance - database rebuilds/re-indexing/expansion and archiving.
• Troubleshooting database/server problems and assisting in various problem resolution as it related to Database Systems
• Database systems upgrades, conversions and patching
• Providing enterprise-wide support for storage and Database backups administration
• Providing daily support for Database production systems including rotational 24/7 coverage and after hours support
• Providing daily support for NonProduction environments; assisting development teams as required
• Administering Database security and establishing effective security controls, participating in Compliance and Audit initiatives
• Design and implement Highly Available systems ensuring Business Continuity, placing necessary Disaster recovery, Data Loss prevention, Data archiving mechanisms to ensure effective protection and integrity of Database systems
