Database Administrator CBA, part of United Fintech United Fintech is on an ambitious journey to transform the financial industry and democratise access to the most advanced software for banks and financial institutions worldwide. As part of this journey, United Fintech has acquired CBA (Commercial Banking Applications) in Oslo, which offers a cutting-edge platform for payments and banking automation. We are looking for a talented DBA to join our development team in Oslo and contribute to building and enhancing our IBAS Global Banking Factory, a comprehensive suite of fully integrated mid-/back-office and customer-facing solutions for international banking clients. The role involves close collaboration with our Java developers, so experience in Java development would be highly beneficial. About the role As a DBA, you will use your expertise in relational database administration together with our Java developers to deliver secure, scalable, and cloud-ready solutions. You will play a key role in extending and maintaining IBAS, ensuring it continues to meet the highest standards of performance, compliance, and usability in the banking sector. This position offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical projects within an international environment, collaborating closely with colleagues, partners, and clients. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and optimize relational databases across Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server. Maintain and extend our data dictionary, ensuring consistency and integrity across the data model. Collaborate with our Java developers to support backend services and REST APIs, ensuring performance and scalability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mid-/back-office systems with customer-facing solutions. Support deployment of our COTS software across public cloud, private cloud, and on-premise environments. Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and performance standards within the banking sector. What we are looking for Strong experience with relational database administration (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server). Experience with metadata management and data modeling. Experience with Java development is a strong plus. Solid understanding of REST APIs and integration practices is a plus. Knowledge of cloud deployment models (public, private, on-premise) is a plus. Experience with web-based user interfaces using Vaadin is a plus. Background in financial services or enterprise-scale systems is advantageous. What’s in it for You?
