Location: Austin, TX
We are seeking a Database Administrator to join our team and work closely with senior developers. This role requires a candidate with strong SQL expertise, a problem-solving mindset, and excellent client-facing communication skills. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical proficiency and analytical thinking, thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, and be capable of managing complex data systems with minimal supervision.

DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong experience with SQL, Python, and Snowflake for data management and automation.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud services.
  • Understanding of ETL pipelines and experience in processing large datasets efficiently.
  • Comfortable working with AI tools to improve development workflows and enhance data analytics capabilities.
  • Experience with automation frameworks, stored procedures, and performance tuning for SQL databases.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), .NET, React, and C# is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • SQL Proficiency: Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries for large-scale datasets. SQL-based questions will be included in the initial interview.
  • Data Management & Optimization: Load, manage, and optimize large-scale national data files to ensure seamless performance.
  • AWS & Snowflake Administration: Work within AWS and Snowflake environments to manage cloud-based data storage, access control, and query performance.
  • Python Development: Use Python for scripting, automation, and data processing tasks to enhance database operations.
  • AI & Automation Integration: Leverage AI-powered coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, AutoML) to streamline development and improve database efficiency.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and maintain automated workflows using tasks, functions, and stored procedures to reduce manual effort.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve SQL and data file errors encountered during data ingestion and processing.
  • Technical Integration: Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, C#, and .NET architecture is a plus, with the ability to integrate these technologies within database solutions.
