Description
1. Architect & Optimize Data Platforms o Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance solutions for complex data pipelines, including ETL/ELT processes. o Implement pushdown optimization, partitioning, clustering, replication, and change data capture (CDC) strategies. 2. Build Self-Service & Automation Frameworks o Deliver secure, automated, and self-service database capabilities to accelerate data-driven teams while ensuring governance and reliability at scale. o Develop infrastructure-as-code solutions for database provisioning and lifecycle management. o Leverage deep understanding of the database architecture to employ innovative and fit-for-purpose methods to effectively anticipate and resolve emerging issues and complex technical challenges related to data provisioning and management. 3. Modernize Data Protection & Resiliency o Engineer backup/restore automation, schema migration tools, and high-performance data movement solutions across on-prem and cloud environments. o Implement observability and monitoring frameworks for proactive performance tuning. 4. Databases: DB2, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Sybase, Teradata, Snowflake, MongoDB Cloud Platforms: AWS (RDS, Aurora), Azure SQL Data Tools: Informatica, Talend Programming: Python, Java, Shell Version Control & CI/CD: Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps Monitoring & Observability: Prometheus, Grafana Proven experience as a Database Engineer or DBA with multi-platform expertise. Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases and data security best practices. o AWS/Azure/GCP Data Platform o DB2 DBA, PostgreSQL Professional, SnowPro Advanced Administrator Proficiency in Python, Java, or Shell scripting for automation and tooling.
