JOB OVERVIEW

seeking a skilled Database Administrator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our database systems to ensure high availability and performance.

EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience in database administration, including MySQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong knowledge of PL/SQL and performance tuning techniques.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and shell scripting is highly desirable.
• Experience with ETL processes and tools such as SSIS is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to design databases that support business applications effectively.

• bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology

• Database administration: 7 years (Required)
• SQL/PLSQL/Oracle: 7 years (Required)

• Administer and maintain databases including MySQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Ensure high availability and performance tuning of database systems.
• Develop and implement ETL processes using SSIS for data integration.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for efficient data retrieval.
• Perform regular backups, restores, and disaster recovery operations.
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Collaborate with development teams to design database schemas that meet application requirements.
• Utilize scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell) for automation of routine tasks.
• Conduct regular security audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with policies.
