SAIC is seeking a highly skilled and cleared Database Administrator in Pensacola, FL to join our technology team. You will be the cornerstone of our data infrastructure, responsible for the day-to-day operational health and performance of our complex database systems in a secure and mission-focused environment. You will work within a collaborative team to ensure our data is secure, reliable, and highly available, directly contributing to the success of critical projects. Responsibilities: Perform high-level, day-to-day maintenance, support, and upgrades for complex database management systems across various operating systems. Monitor, tune, and optimize multiple database systems to achieve peak performance levels. Implement, manage, and audit robust solutions to ensure database data integrity and compliance with security standards. Develop and implement a comprehensive schedule for database backups, archives, and recovery operations. Work closely with systems administrators, database engineers, and software developers to plan and modernize database implementations. Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. Follow established procedures and policies, while exercising judgment to determine the appropriate course of action. Required Skills & Qualifications: Active TS/SCI Clearance with the ability to acquire a CI Polygraph upon hire. Bachelor's degree in related field. Current CompTIA Security+ certification. Experience and/or familiarity with SQL Servers. Proven expertise in database maintenance, security, and performance tuning. Demonstrated experience with database design, development, and data modeling. Strong ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries and reports. Familiarity with database testing methodologies and tools. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Active Directory and VMware. Experience with cloud database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL) within a secure environment. Knowledge of other database systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL). Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell)
