As a Database Administrator, the successful candidate will perform database administration tasks essential to the implementation and operation of a variety of database systems and applications running on Linux and Windows server platforms, containers and in the Azure. These tasks which are in direct support of TRS’ software development and application teams, include database analysis, database information assurance and security, database installation, database configuration, and database performance monitoring and tuning. Essential Functions: Perform database administration assignments essential to the implementation and operation of database systems and applications running on Linux and Windows server platforms. Supporting the complete software development life cycle from conception to deployment in an Agile environment. Review and ensure database integrity using standardized support tools. Ensure tasks are performed in accordance with database administration guidelines, standards and procedures for application development, implementation, testing, and migration. Modifying and testing changes to previously developed programs. Support both DevOps and New Feature development. Document and maintain software functionality. Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems. Create and develop well designed and testable code aligning with current Database standards. Be available to troubleshoot SQL Server service outages even after- hours and weekends. Other duties as assigned. Final compensation will be adjusted to reflect cost-of-living differences for other TRS locations. For Illinois job seekers: Pay Range $76,050.90 - $118,639.00 Compensation will be determined based on the qualifications and experience of each candidate.
