Database Administrator III – Des Moines, IA (Hybrid)
Ashton North’s Client is seeking a Database Administrator III to lead and manage SQL Server and Oracle environments. This role is ideal for a self-driven professional who thrives on automation, performance tuning, and ensuring reliability in highly regulated environments.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead administration of 35+ SQL Servers (~50TB data) and Oracle databases
  • Drive automation of database refreshes, builds, and change management
  • Oversee production control, upgrades, patching, and monitoring
  • Partner with developers, QA, and reporting teams on mission-critical systems
  • Support AI and cloud integration initiatives

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years in database administration (SQL Server & Oracle)
  • Advanced skills with SQL Server (2016–current), Oracle 19c+, T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS
  • Scripting expertise (SQL, PowerShell preferred)
  • Strong grasp of database security and compliance practices

Preferred Experience: RedGate, Rubrik, database encryption, change management.
Hybrid Schedule: 4 days onsite / 1 day remote – relocation assistance available.
Compensation: $106K–$119K + 10% annual incentive bonus.
