Team (Project) Introduction 9th Way Insignia is seeking a Database Architect to support the Consolidated Corporate Support Services (CCSS) 2.0 contract for the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Database Architect will be responsible for designing and modeling data structures to support enterprise financial and administrative systems. Aligned with Section 5.2 of the PWS, this role focuses on ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient database architectures that align with VA operational and modernization goals. Professional Level E1 Engineer Responsibilities Design, model, and document logical and physical data architectures for enterprise applications. Define database structures, schemas, and relationships that support application workflows. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and system architects to ensure optimal data access and performance. Evaluate database technologies and recommend platforms or configurations aligned with project needs. Support data standardization, naming conventions, and metadata repositories. Ensure database design aligns with security, backup, and recovery best practices. Provide guidance on capacity planning and data storage optimization. Ensure compatibility of new designs with legacy systems and transition strategies. Document architectural decisions and updates to database design baselines. Requirements BD degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required. or related field. 2 years of related professional experience. 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education Certification Certified Maximo Deployment Professional Certified SAFe Agile Architect Preferred/Desired Experience with financial or government enterprise data environments. Proficiency in data modeling tools such as ER/Studio or ERwin. Strong understanding of normalization, indexing, and partitioning strategies. Ability to communicate complex database design concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Salary Range $78,522 - $100,000 9th Way Insignia’s range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
